Sales and Order Processing Planner

Job Description

Due to expansion, our client, a Global Manufacturer, based in the Greater London area is recruiting a Sales and Order Processing Planner to assist the Operations Manager in the following key areas of the business:

• To manage the orders of our customers, making sure that their queries are looked after in a timely manner and the goods are shipped in line with customers’ expectations
• Inventory control is also required, by promoting sales of slow moving products and monitoring pick-up process. This applies to all the products supplied by The Company to the distributor network.
• To keep on top of the SOP duties there might be the need of ad hoc support not strictly related to SOP operation (i.e. filing, and adhoc administration and support functions).

General Duties
• S&OP for products:
o Daily processing of sales orders in our system
o Tracing and release of Back Orders in our system
o Preparing and supplying the necessary documentation (P/L, Proforma invoices) to our customers
o Liaising with customers by phone and/or email answering enquiries in regards to sales orders, stock availability and Orders ETAs
o Liaising with the Warehouse staff to resolve delivery and stock issues
o Consult with Technical Team (Pre/After sales as appropriate)
o Release Stock and Control aged back orders on a daily basis to support inventory management

• Supply Chain/Planning
o Check that the category assigned has the proper level of inventory
o Check that data is properly transferred to stakeholders (manually/via system)
o Customs/product classifications
o Route to market study
o Day to day monitoring of Production schedule update and Inbound update

• MS Office (Advanced - Excel is key)

Desirable Skills:
• Navision literate
• English must be fluent in addition to one other European language; French or Spanish or Italian or German or Dutch
• Incoterms
• Accounting exposure would be useful, though not essential
