Job Description
Our client, a well respected magazine publisher located in London, is looking for an individual to join their busy logistics department.
The role is based 5 mins walk from Old Street tube station and following a period of training, will be 3 days office based, 2 days working from home.
In this role you will provide operational support for the production and logistics management of publications in different markets both domestically as well as internationally, whilst ensuring a smooth flow of product throughout the supply chain.
The position is initially an 8 month contract and may lead to a permanent role, reporting to the Distribution & Logistics Manager, the key focus areas are;
• Liaising with freight transport companies to ensure the flow of goods and materials is smooth
• Managing deadlines for stock movements, both inbound as well as outbound
• Stock management and working with warehousing
• Preparation of logistics reports
• Internal and external communication
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in a logistics and supply chain role. Candidates with a good knowledge of operational administration and planning will be given due consideration.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following attributes :
• Attention to detail

• Strong Organisational Skills
• A good working knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel, likely to use pivot tables)
• Numeracy
• Excellent communication
• Workload prioritisation
• Good knowledge of geography and or logistics
The Package:
Salary range £23 to 24k in addition to benefits and an excellent working environment.
